Golf cart - 2019 EZGO RXV
Great solar top for my golf cart. This Saturday 8/16/2025 will be 4 weeks since it was installed. My charger has never been used and is still in the box. The process took about 20 minutes to install and connect the battery because it was already prepped for my golf cart model. I purchased a new Lithium battery prior to installation. This gave me a little more power (51.2v versus 48v)and made my golf cart 240 lbs. lighter. I was able to connect my phone to the app which gives me my battery status. Here is some data that I have recorded about usage and charging while at my campground.

My golf cart is parked between campers on my site and the sun rises on the opposite side of my camper. (If I parked out in front of my camper, the 100% charge would be achieved much faster). As you can see from my data, battery usage has not been an issue.
Options:
I love the extended roof solar panel. I recently put on a rear seat and it covers the rear seat too. (The solar panel was already installed when putting on the rear seat so it was not an issue for installation). Side note, the price for the extended plastic roof and the extended solar top is not much different.
I love the running lights (red- rear, orange-sides and white-front) and the very strong LED lights for headlights that are mounted on the solar panel. I often run with just the running lights as to not blind other golf carts while driving around my campground. (I especially like how we didn’t have to cut into my golf cart at all to install lights).
The two dome lights are very useful and I like how the switches are illuminated. The backup camera is a very useful tool to have when driving around other campsites while visiting friends. It also allows you to view behind you while driving making the need for side mirrors optional. The radio can be used while driving with the backup camera is on.
The fast charging USB and USC takes care of my phone needs very quickly.
The Bluetooth radio also has a USB charger as well and an aux input. The USB is great for mirroring your phone and watching videos or sporting events. The radio is very loud and I usually run it about half volume.
The solar top has angle supports that are very strong and help with getting out of the golf cart.
In summary, I love my new solar top. I don’t have to do anything to it except maybe a light towel to get the dust off occasionally. It has been mentioned that in the future at my campground there might be a possibility for a reduced rate for having an solar-golf cart on site that is 100% solar and does not need to be plugged in. That has not happened yet but I am hopeful.
This solar top has generated lots of interest at the campground and word of it has spread. People occasional stop me as I pass by their site to ask about it and it is a great conversation piece for others interested. I have fielded some great questions, concerns and suggestions from other campers which I have passed on to the company.
The company PWR-TOP.com is a great company. They have been very open to the many questions, concerns and suggestions I had about their product. Communication has been a strong point with them.
Purchase their product with confidence. You won’t be disappointed.
